Some watch faces draw the date with pictures rather than a system font. Changing the watch’s language will not translate those images. Studio’s English calendar tool can rebuild supported month and weekday banks while keeping their frames, positions, colors and calendar bindings.

Check what the original pictures say

Open the project and save a portable master before editing. English calendar appears when the editor finds a supported complete month or weekday bank. The tool is intended for separate label images; it does not translate arbitrary words flattened into the background.

Choose the banks you want to change. Under Source labels, select the matching preset, then open Check the source labels. The month list runs January through December and the weekday list Monday through Sunday. Correct the text and accents to match the actual pictures.

Presets describe your declaration of those labels. They do not perform OCR or identify the language automatically. The Spanish full-name option can describe longer originals, but the English output still uses three-letter abbreviations.

Choose original glyphs or a font file

Reuse original letter artwork separates available uppercase glyphs and assembles the English labels from them. This often preserves more of the original character than choosing a vaguely similar font. Month and weekday banks can share their available letters.

English may need a letter that the source never drew. Reconstruct missing letter shapes can make supported shapes from other glyphs and records the reconstructed letters for review. A plausible W, H or Y is still a reconstruction; its presence does not identify the original typeface or prove an exact match.

For connected lettering, an insufficient alphabet or a style you can match with a real font, choose Use a font file. Load a local TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 and inspect the result. The tool fits and rasterizes the words into images, so the finished calendar does not depend on that font being installed on the watch. Check that you can use the font for this project.

Review every label and the actual dial

Open Compare every calendar label and inspect all twelve months and seven weekdays. Compare capital heights, baselines, spacing, stroke weight and the outer edges of rebuilt letters. Pay particular attention to labels that combine letters from different source images. Matching metrics help, but they do not settle whether a reconstructed shape looks right.

Use the whole-face comparison too. A word can look fine on the comparison sheet and still crowd a window or sit awkwardly beside the date. Check the narrow labels as well as the widest ones; do not stretch short words merely to fill the frame.

Download the label comparison before applying if you want a record of the choice. Apply English labels makes one undoable change. Original label artwork remains hidden in the portable master, and canceling leaves the project alone.

Check calendar behavior after export

Advance the preview through several weekdays and months, including a year boundary. Check that the right label appears and that day digits still align with it. Reopen the exported source and inspect the built face, because the browser’s proposal is only one stage of the result. For an imported Huawei design, the HWT conversion guide explains the separate checks for missing source features.

Review the ambient face separately. Existing AOD artwork is not automatically repainted to match the new calendar; you may need to revise or regenerate it. Keep the original master, the English copy and its comparison sheet so you can change the lettering choice without losing the original design.
